With over 23 years’ experience in Planning, and now one of the most sought-after and considered as one of the Country’s leading authorities in transformation, service improvements and delivery, Artemis is a seasoned Head of Planning – passionate about best practise and promoting great place-making. Having pioneered the Clearance drives to tackle Local Authority backlogs, Artemis has overseen the clearance of over 4000 backlog applications in the last 2 years alone. Her skillsets and work ethics have been sought after over the last few years across London and the UK and has blended Agency, Consultancy and Contract work. This has been primarily for Local Authorities although, as a consultant, advises private clients and developers on housing and commercial projects.
Adaptable and versatile in all types of work, at all levels – with the ability to thrive and succeed with any challenge presented – swiftly and calmly. Artemis is an accomplished manager, strategist and a very experienced project and programme manager and highly experienced and adept at Member and MP interactions with an in-depth knowledge of political sensitivity and probity.
Artemis has been commended by the Mayor of London for leading the delivery of key major regeneration schemes in London and has had international recognition as the youngest Chief Planner in the UK in 2008.
Artemis’ skillsets also include delivery and oversight of nationally significant development projects, including being the directorial lead in the oversight and coordination of the South Ashford Garden Community, the redevelopment of Wembley Stadium and wider regeneration of the Wembley area, in London, the redevelopment of the Tottenham Hotspur football stadium and coordinating and leading the largest development in Welwyn Garden City since the City was constructed, known as the ‘Wheat Quarter’, to name a few.
Artemis is multi-lingual and trained as a classical singer, having been a member of the English National Opera and Hampstead Opera Company and appeared in major productions including, ‘The Marriage of Figaro’, ‘Carmen’ at the Royal Albert Hall, in addition to, West End major musicals, including ‘The Phantom of the Opera’, ‘Les Misérables’ and ‘Chicago’.
