Karen Daye
MRTPI
Karen is a chartered town planner with over 20 years of experience across all areas of development management and appeals within a local government setting. She has a sound working knowledge of planning procedures and legislation and remains keenly abreast of evolving policy and practice within the profession.
Her particular strength lies in planning appeals an area she has specialised in for over 12 years. During that time, she has applied her planning judgement to an extensive range of complex and major planning appeals. Appearing regularly as an expert witness at planning Inquiries, informal hearings and preparing complex planning statements.
Karen is also very passionate about diversity in planning and supporting the next generation of emerging talent to make great strides in the profession. She is a committed mentor and an active member of the RTPI’s Regional Activities Committee.
